Leyla loves everything about Auntie Ellie's beach house – the boat, the climbing tree, the old rainwater tank, the driftwood on the beach and the family times spent there. She thinks she would be lost without it, but then the moon shows her the way….
The idea for Auntie Ellie's Beach House came to me long ago but back then I didn't realize that it had to be a Kiwi book and I had to write it in New Zealand.
Lisa Allen did an absolutely wonderful job with the illustrations. Click on her name to visit her website.

BTW. Here's something you might want to try. Next time there's a full moon, go down to the beach. Walk down to the shore and you will discover that you have your very own moonbeam. It will finish at your feet. You won't be able to see anyone else's moonbeam and they won't be able to see your's.
Then run up and down the beach like Leyla did! Your moonbeam will follow you wherever you go...
